(Arrahmah.com) – Hudhaifa Al Sayid (23), a young Muslim who man left his youth in the urban environment for jihad in the path of Allah in Syria, has martyred (insha Allah) during a skirmish.
Al Sayid, from Egypt family and was born in Egypt, is a youth entrepreneur who spent much of his life in Drogheda, Ireland, after have moved to Ireland with his surgeon father when he was a boy.
His life as a young entrepreneur doesn’t make him fall asleep by the luxury. His conscience called him to go to Syria , to join in fighting against the regime of Bashar Assad.
According to report published by Independent.ie, Al Sayid martyred on Tuesday last week during a fighting with regime forces in the north-western Idleb province.
Before join with Mujahideen forces in Liwa ul-Ummah brigade with other Irish youngsters, Al Sayid attending St Mary’s school in Drogheda before holding down several jobs in Dublin. He has recently been involved in setting up his own company.
Speaking to the reporters before his martyred, he admitted his parents were concerned about his choice.
“They are still worried for my safety out here,” he said. But he added that one of his goals in life was “defending the weak against injustice and the oppressors” and to help building peace in the world.
As a Muslim, he felt strongly that the fight in Syria was justified and would build a better future for the islamic land.
He was well known in the Islamic community in Ireland and friends posted dozens of messages in tribute and sympathy over his martyred.
One his friend said: “This is such a great loss to the community and of course the family, my thoughts and prayers goes out to him and his family and friends.”
Even several friends and relatives changed their profile picture to that of Al Sayid in tribute.
According to the report, mourners gathered at the Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland in Clonskeagh at Dec 19 as news of Al Sayid’s death filtered through.
Al Sayid, is one of Irish youngsters who left their lives to go to Syiria. He left his profession as an entrepreneur for the sake of jihad in the path of Allah. May Allah accept him.
“Of the believers are men who are true to that which they covenanted with Allah. Some of them have paid their vow by death (in battle), and some of them still are waiting; and they have not altered in the least.” (Quran, surah Al-Ahzab [33]: 23)
