بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيم
(Arrahmah.com) – Many from youth misused the qoute saying of Ali radhiallahu anhu were he say “If you want to know the truthful group, then follow the point of the arrow”
But remember when the time of Ali radhiallahu anhu, the khawarij is in his ranks and the group of Muawiya radhiallahu anhu fought them. When Ali radhiallahu anhu decided to stop the in fight between Muawiyah radhiallahu anhu the khawarij takfir ali radhiallahu anhu. Then when the khawarij tragress against muslim, Ali radhiallahu anhu fought the Khawarij after they killed a shahabah and his pregnant wife and took the baby inside the womb of his wife via opening her womb with the knife.
So if Muawiyah radhiallahu anhu, and Ali radhiallahu anhu fought the khawarij then all the arrow pointed to the khawarij, so this is not make the khawarij in being haqq because all the arrows pointed to them.
We have to know why Ali radhiallahu anhu said those qoute saying that most of the Youth misusing today, where is that taken, i know i saw some photos where it’s also qouted by Sheikh Musa Jibril hafidhahullah, but in what kind of lecture which the sheikh said this? we can’t just cutt and paste some opinions of our sheikh then apply it to every situations that fits to our thinking that this is haqq and we as layman should not take this out of context.
Shaikh Mansoor Hafidahullah said: The problem is not what you derived from Quran and Sunnah The problems is in your understanding. If your understanding is agreed upon the sahaba, you are upon the Ahul Sunnah wal Jama’ah. If your understanding is on other way of sahaba, you is wronged It is must that understanding would agree the salaf. (May Allah peace be upon them).
So still knowledge and understanding of the certain knowledge are needed to be applied properly when fitan strikes us, the opinions of ulama which are known to haqq are important, and those ulama are known not because they have website but they are known because most of mujahideen groups took their works in terms of aqeedah, took their works because it’s haqq and with the guidance of Quran and Sunnah, they took their works because those sheikhs are not Murjia or Madhkali. They took their works because they are involving their selves in the affairs of the ummah, defending the tawheed wal Jihad, and defender of the truthful mujahideen.
Narrated by Abu al-Darda’ (Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) said,
“Scholars are the inheritors of the prophets.” [Related byTirmidhi, Abu Dawud, Nasa’i, Ibn Maja, Ahmad, Ibn Hibban, and others] Ibn al-Mulaqqin, Zayla’i, Ibn Hajar, and others seemed it sound (hasan) or rigorously authentic (sahih)]
When Fudayl ibn Iyad (Allah be pleased with him) heard this hadith, he commented, “The people of spiritual wisdom (hukama’) are the inheritors of the prophets,” [Ibn Nu’aym, Hilyat al-Awliya, 8.92] explaining the nature of knowledge that is ultimately sought.
Imam al-Ayni (Allah have mercy on him) explained in his commentary on Sahih al-Bakhari, Umdat al-Qari (2.39) that this hadith is inspired from the words of Allah Most High, “Then We gave the Scripture as inheritance unto those whom We elected of Our servants.” [Qur’an, 35.32]
The knowledge possessed by these scholars is the knowledge deemed beneficial (al-‘ilm al-nafi’) by Allah and His Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace). This knowledge was defined by Imam Ghazali as being, “Knowledge of the way to Allah Most High and the next life.”
It is not just information: rather, it is the way of transforming oneself outwardly and inwardly, in order to become true slaves of Allah, on the path of His Beloved Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him).
And if there’s a matter specially it comes to other muslims, and the issue is very sensitive don’t doubt your self to the people who have knowledge as Allah said:
“Ask the people of Dhikr (the scholars) if you don’t know” (an Nahl, 43)
It will be arrogant of us, if we say we always know and only stick to a certain what we think is haqq, let’s be humble and ask Allah to show us what are the real haqq specially we all recognized that we are in times of fitan. If we don’t humble our selves and not ask Allah to guide us to the real haqq. We might misguided to the real haqq which are hidden from our hearts.
Which Allah subhanahu wa ta’aala once said:
“For surely it’s not the eyes that are blind, but the heart.” [Sûrah al-Hajj: 46]
May Allah guide us all to the real haqq, amin ya Rabb
