Alhamdullilaah, the Mujaahideen of the Islaamic Emirate of Pakistan are smashing the idols of Shirk, continuing the traditions of the Prophets. The following is taken from NDTV dated Nov. 11:
Pakistani Taliban have carried out a second attack on a historic 40 metre tall Buddha statue in the Swat valley of the North West Frontier Province destroying the head, shoulders and feet.
The Taliban also plan a thrid attack to destroy the Buddha completely.
Swat, which is 200 km northwest of Islamabad, has practically been overrun by Islamic fundamentalists led by Mullah Fazlullah.
…
Swat’s priceless Buddhist heritage includes stupas and statues, which were erected on the orders of Emperor Ashoka and contained real relics of the Buddha.
The 40-metre statue was first attacked on September 12 this year and was partially damaged.
AllahuAkbar! Our brothers are showing once again that their Jihaad is fe Sabeelillaah! They are following the tradition of Ibraaheem (’alayhis salaam) who broke the idols of the Mushrikeen, and they are following the tradition of Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu ‘alayhi wassallam) who broke idols during the Makkan era as well as during the Fath al-Makkah.
Some people might say, “But they are breaking important symbolisms for the religion of Buddhism!” We say to them: As long as these idols stand, we will break every one of them because there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, the Most High! We will smash the idols of falsehood, be it a statue or Taaghooti government, until the whole earth is freed from Shirk and is under the ruling of Allah, ‘Azza wa Jall.
The destruction of Idols is a sign of Imaan and the defending of idols is a sign of weakness in Imaan. Destroying an idol is an act of Yaqeen, and hating for its destruction is a sign of Kufr.
If a Muslim dares to speak out against the Mujaahideen for these Sunnah acts of theirs – which is a type of Sunnah they are reviving since this Sunnah has been dead for a very long time – then they must speak out against the acts of Ibraaheem (’alayhis salaam) as well as Muhammad (sallallahu ‘alayhi wassallam).
