ISLAMABAD (Arrahmah.com) – A cleric in Pakistan is teaching the ideas of Shyaikh Osama Bin Laden in religious schools for about 5,000 children. He is aspiring that his students could become the next generation of jihad.
“We share the same goals with the Taliban, but we do not offer military training. We further develop (capability) science, (while) the Taliban more on military force,” said Sheikh Abdul Aziz Ghazi, the imam of the Red Mosque in Islamabad, BBC reported.
“We teach about the principles of jihad. It is up to the students if they want to get military training after they leave here. We do not prevent them.”
Shaykh Ghazi manage eight madrassas, which first established after his father went to meet Osama bin Laden in Afghanistan. For him, Shaykh Osama is a hero.
“Osama Bin Laden is a hero to us all. He is against America and he wins. He has inspired the school’s mission,” said Sheikh Ghazi.
In one of the madrasa, the library is named after Sheikh Osama, in order to honor him, who was killed by US Navy (Seals) in Pakistan in 2011.
Mosques and madrassas, there have been long ago since 2007, when the Pakistani army has been sent to encircle the Red Mosque, and then invaded it. The tragedy resulted in 100 people dead, including the sister, mother and son Sheikh Ghazi.
Currently, there are 3,000 girls and 2,000 students attending the institution.
The syllabus is a heavy mix of Koranic recitation, Arabic and theology of Islam. Many of the materials are written by Sheikh Ghazi and printed in the printing room madrassa. The shortest course is 12 months, but students can also enroll in an eight-year program that gives the title of priest after graduation.
He also said that Osama Bin Laden is his inspiration.
“We all have the same goal. To create a society in which there is no corruption, we want justice for everyone. And the only way to achieve that is through Sharia law and an Islamic state,” he said.
Abdullah was one of 18 priests who will graduate from the school in 2015, in order to spread these ideas to the Muslim community in Pakistan.
Red Mosque was founded by father Abdul Aziz Ghazi, Sheikh Maulana Qari Abdullah. He supported the Taliban were at the time fighting against Russia.
Currently, the madrasas in the Red Mosque has more students than ever before and is currently building a large building to accommodate about 1,000 more students in 2015.
According to a student of that school, Taliban in Afghanistan is a role model of goverment.
“The Taliban had ruled Afghanistan very well. They create a society that is fair and it makes stifling the West,” said Abdullah, 24, who will graduate from school next year priests printer.
Schools provide free boarding, food and medical care for all students.
Most of the students come from low-income families, mostly from tribal areas of northwest Pakistan. Some parents rely on madrasas to provide full care for their children.
At school for girls, male faculty teaching the girls from behind the wall and talk through the speaker system, they sometimes can teach a student for five years without ever met or even seen them.
Shaykh Ghazi insists schools do not accept large donations, only a small contribution.
“People call me from all over Pakistan to seek donations. Recently, someone donated a house. Other people donate several thousand rupees or car. They donate because they support what we are trying to do.” (siraaj/bbc/arrahmah.com)
